November 16th Training- Demanding Due Process: Trial Skills for the Juvenile Defender

Juvenile defenders will have the opportunity to examine and enhance their trial skills with this training by Martin Feinman the Director of Juvenile Justice Training for the Legal Aid Society, Juvenile Rights Division in New York, New York.  The morning consists of a session focusing on the importance of investigation, strategy and the mechanics of impeaching prosecution witnesses to advance the defense theory of the case followed by skill drills on demonstrative evidence, objections and direct examination.  The afternoon focuses on special considerations when suppressing juvenile statments
